What is my full name?
Zachary Brannan Hedrick
3 hobbies I enjoy on a regular basis.
- I enjoy all types of sports. Love to play them, love to talk about them, anything with sports and I'm happy. My passion is baseball (Go Rangers!!!) I love baseball, it's the greatest game there is. Some of my favorite teams are the Oklahoma Soooners (of course), Dallas Cowboys, and the Dallas Mavericks.
- I'm a big reader. It can be anything: newspaper, books, novels, novellas, periodicals, leaflets, pamphlets, signs, billboards, whatever. I've learned over my storied academic career that I can learn a lot about stuff if I read. But I don't just read for school, I love to read for leisure. Favorite authors are: Michael Crichton, J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, Steven Pressfield, and Ian Fleming.
- Drumming. Drum, Drum Drum. Drumming is awesome. It's the best instrument there is. Of course I'm a little biased. I've been playing drums since the sixth grade and I never thought when I first began, I would be on the University of Oklahoma Drumline in my first year of college. Only recently have I discovered my passion for drumming and realized how great of a stress reliever it is. Especially after a bad day, when you just need to go and hit something.
What is my hometown?
I hail from Keller, Texas.
Why did I choose to come to OU?
I've wanted to come to OU for as long as I can remember. What really sealed the deal for me was when I came up for my first football game for my 13th birthday. That was November 15, 2003, Baylor at OU. It was an experience I'll never forget. That and going to the Tech game last year in November was also experience of a lifetime. Ain't nothing better than Oklahoma Football!
What is my major?
Broadcast Journalism
Why did I choose to take a computer mediated class?
I didn't know this was a CMC. But I guess it will be an educational experience either way you slice it.
What do I hope to get out of this class?
I hope to get an A. But outside of letter grades, a better understanding of where I stand as a writer and what I can work on to improve over this semester and become a better writer than when I began.

Zach!! So i think you might know my roommate, she is on the drum line with you...Kim Minnotte? What made you choose broadcast journalism? Your from Keller!!! you live like 20 minutes away from me..haha Have you lived there long? Well you seem pretty cool we should hangout :) see you in math or english!
ReplyDeleteDude, why are you such a hoss at bass 1? i mean come on man. and i think you really are a yankees fan at heart, you just have to come around... lol.
ReplyDeleteSo Keller, Texas. How close, or far is that from Amarillo? I have family that lives there.
I don't know whether we post answers on the people who asked the questions blog's or if we answer them on our own. Again my mom's tech-retardedness is becoming more present in me (regretably).
ReplyDeleteTaryn- I do know Kim, she plays vibes for the drumline, I lived in Keller for thirteen years, and I chose Broadcast Journalism because I think it would be pretty cool if I got to talk about sports or call baseball games for a living. Or being on Sportscenter would be pretty cool.
Billy- I do what I do on Bass 1. And Keller is about five and a half hours from Amarillo so it's a bit of a drive. Sorry to dissapoint, but I'm staying a Rangers fan. I am a fan of Derek Jeter though.
Canyon is about six hours away from ft. worth! I normally say I'm from Amarillo because it's close to there and more people know where that is lol. But anyways, yeah I went with my church this summer to Toronto, Canada and we worked with an organization that does summer camps for inner city kids. I want to go back! But I think it's really cool that you're on drum line! Do you guys practice like alll the time?
ReplyDeletegirls go for urban definantly because of the accent...haha :)
ReplyDeleteYeah there is an air force base in Altus. My family is not military. My dad was born and raised in Altus and my mom just kind of migrated there over the years lol. Well even when I was less than 2 I would always change the tv to some surgery so I would say that had some effect on my idea of becoming an ER Physician. I'm not really sure where I will end up for medical school just yet. That will kind of be decided in a year or so by some personal things.
