BOOMER SOONER!!!

About Me...

What is my full name?

Zachary Brannan Hedrick

3 hobbies I enjoy on a regular basis.
- I enjoy all types of sports. Love to play them, love to talk about them, anything with sports and I'm happy. My passion is baseball (Go Rangers!!!) I love baseball, it's the greatest game there is. Some of my favorite teams are the Oklahoma Soooners (of course), Dallas Cowboys, and the Dallas Mavericks.
- I'm a big reader. It can be anything: newspaper, books, novels, novellas, periodicals, leaflets, pamphlets, signs, billboards, whatever. I've learned over my storied academic career that I can learn a lot about stuff if I read. But I don't just read for school, I love to read for leisure. Favorite authors are: Michael Crichton, J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, Steven Pressfield, and Ian Fleming.
- Drumming. Drum, Drum Drum. Drumming is awesome. It's the best instrument there is. Of course I'm a little biased. I've been playing drums since the sixth grade and I never thought when I first began, I would be on the University of Oklahoma Drumline in my first year of college. Only recently have I discovered my passion for drumming and realized how great of a stress reliever it is. Especially after a bad day, when you just need to go and hit something.

What is my hometown?

I hail from Keller, Texas.

Why did I choose to come to OU?

I've wanted to come to OU for as long as I can remember. What really sealed the deal for me was when I came up for my first football game for my 13th birthday. That was November 15, 2003, Baylor at OU. It was an experience I'll never forget. That and going to the Tech game last year in November was also experience of a lifetime. Ain't nothing better than Oklahoma Football!

What is my major?

Broadcast Journalism

Why did I choose to take a computer mediated class?

I didn't know this was a CMC. But I guess it will be an educational experience either way you slice it.

What do I hope to get out of this class?

I hope to get an A. But outside of letter grades, a better understanding of where I stand as a writer and what I can work on to improve over this semester and become a better writer than when I began.
